    Price Increase

Post by Guest on Tue Feb 28, 2012 2:53 pm

shotagain wrote:After a month of debate and deliberation we have no choice but to increase the game fee price at MCG, we have looked at every other possibility to avoid this but due to our expenditure increasing on the site we have been left with no other choice, this is the first increase in cost we have introduced since we took over the site 5 years ago and it is with great reluctance we do it even now.

to offset this increase slightly however we are to now include lunch with the game fee, also the hire package price will remain the same & also include lunch.

the new prices are as follows.

    Game Fees

    Members £20 (Incl Lunch)
    Non Members £25 (Incl Lunch)
    Hire Package £45 (Incl Lunch)

Cans & Chocolate £0.60p Each (due to our suppliers increasing the cost)

However the consumables ie BB's, Pyro and Gas prices will remain unchanged as we are to take on the increase in price for these items.

This increase will not take place until the 1st April 2012!

    cheers guys
    Justin

While I can fully understand if people may be a little upset and surprised about the price increase, nobody likes it when something goes up in price.

But I do feel the need to try and put this in some sort of context.

I started playing this little sport of ours a very long time ago (and I'm still crap before you say it stevg, craig, justin and everyone else).

But when I started playing there was only one site to go to, and that cost £25 for non members and £20 if you was a member (can't remeber the cost of membership), you didn't get lunch or drinks. This was the 2000 twelve years ago for people like craig (just thought I'd do my bit help you with those maths gremlins)

Twelve years on a site can still charge those prices and then give you free lunch and hot drinks. Who said inflation was spirraling out of control.

Knowing the costs of running an airsoft site and and the margins in which a company has to work by, if it was my company and site, I would have put the price up last year.

All I can say is from all of us who understand a MASSIVE and I mean MASSIVE thank you to Mick and Justin for holding back as long as they could.

    Cheers guys

MCG as a site is better by far than the ones you end up paying easily over £45 to play etc, as well as having friendlier and approachable staff, and fair play players. I'm surprised it hasnt happened sooner to be honest, obviously Mick & Justin have held off for as long as they could, this considering other sites seemed to increase their prices on a regular basis, and we all know which ones dont we!

I seriously cannot remember the last time the price was increased.

Anyway its all good in my eyes, and yes free tea/coffee all day is a quality decision, cos I luv me tea as theres nothing better than getting ya mouth around a hot steamy muff...I mean mug, oops!

Keep up the good work guys, not been in a while but reading some of threads on the forum, I can see that your still kicking ass and offering a great days experience for old and new players.

    Signing out, stay frosty!

p.s. got a scar by the way, eglm on its way also, woo hoo !

I think the lunches provided are quite magnificent and justify the walk on fee on their own !

I would gladly sell my house and all it's contents to help Matlock Combat Games.

What price can you put on the opportunity to shoot people in the face ! in the face !
